/ About the project

In 2017 a conversation with Leo Burnett led to the question - "Could we bring a photorealistic reindeer into people's homes so they could capture a video of their visit?"
My answer was a clear "yes", backed by a solution that has now powered this nationwide-loved campaign every Christmas since then.


In the original execution that ran alongside McDonald’s 2017 Christmas TV ad, a young girl takes her last carrot stick home for the reindeer on Christmas Eve. My team created an exclusive WebGL-powered ‘Carrot Run’ game, and the ‘Reindeer Ready Live’ experience that captured the magical moment the reindeer visited people's homes.


Since then we've developed countless new features every year, from interactive puzzles, to festive drawing activities, digital photobooths, and more… always with Reindeer Ready Live at the centre, helping millions of people nationwide get a visit from a friendly reindeer, and be left with a video to remember it by.


It's been covered by news organisations all throughout the country, from the Metro, to the Daily Mail, The Sun, OK! Magazine, and dozens of other local news outlets.
