/ About the project
I conceptualised this unique installation to celebrate Hennessy’s 250th Anniversary with a striking window takeover at the iconic Harrods in London, reimagining the classic ‘Persistence of Vision’ optical illusion through a digital lens.
As two screens accelerate to nearly 90 km/h, discrete, simple imagery merges in the mind’s eye, creating the illusion of smooth, 3D-projected animations.
I led the project from ideation to delivery, crafting the pitch deck, prototyping with two iPads strapped to a drill (playing synchronised video via an app I developed for testing), overseeing the final build with our manufacturing partners, and collaborating with MPC’s motion design team to create the animated visuals. When played on high-speed rotating screens, these animations transformed into the illusion of volume and light, bringing the concept to life.
