/ About the project

In 2017 RNIB were the official health partner at Glastonbury Festival.


To get festival-goers interested in eye health, we introduced The Karaoke Eye Test tent, where they could have all the fun of karaoke singing, combined with a classic Snellen chart eye test device to throw them off, and raise awareness of the effects of certain eye conditions.


People tested their eyes whilst singing their hearts out, helping RNIB spread the word that 50% of sight loss is preventable if caught early with an eye test.


I had a finger in every pie, from the development of the on-screen Karaoke experience, to a custom iPad app that allowed tent staff to enter the song selection, and capture singers' performances in a way that was instantly shareable through a QR Code.
